Help us build a residence for health students in the heart of the Sankuru (DRC)
Why this project is urgent
In the heart of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sankuru province faces extreme poverty despite its great potential. In this isolated region, the Institut Supérieur Technique du Sankuru (ISTSAN) is a pioneering institution, training nurses, midwives and technicians every year to meet urgent health and development needs.
But behind this ambitious mission lies an alarming reality:
Students have no accommodation
They sleep in classrooms or at friends’ homes
Some walk up to 2 hours to come and study.
Looking for food and lodging eats into the quality of students’ studies
The solution: build a temporary residence
We are launching the construction of a temporary residence for 40 students to offer them
-
Safe, stable accommodation
-
A structured living space
-
An environment conducive to learning
The building will be constructed on a site that already has access to drinking water, and will be reused in the long term as an administrative office once the permanent residence is complete.
A direct impact
Every donation improves a student’s daily life.
An urgent response
to a human and educational need.
A lasting investment
Training tomorrow’s healthcare workers today.
A gesture of solidarity
towards young people determined to escape poverty through knowledge.
