An ISTSAN scholarship: Institut Supérieur Technique du Sankuru (Higher Technical Institute of Sankuru)

ISTSAN (www.istsan.org) is a higher education institution in Lodja, in the centre of the DRC. It offers training in the following fields:

Health

nursing, midwifery

Technical sciences

Its location in an isolated rural area, accessible only by air or river, makes it a strategic tool for social transformation.

How are scholarship students selected?

A process ensures that every scholarship goes to a deserving student who is genuinely in need:

  • Application: administrative form and a letter of motivation describing the social and financial situation.
  • General knowledge test.
  • Social assessment by ISTSAN.
  • Signature of a commitment contract: the student agrees to serve the school in exchange for the scholarship.
  • Final decision by MEDAF, based on need, motivation and results.
